Visualization Tools: Maya and UDK are  now loaded in Room 214 Wurster Hall. Will request help desk to designate computer #43 ( back row, next to window ) as priority working station for Maya users.

Office Hours: Will be meeting Prof. Hastorf 3pm @ Rm. 214 Wurster, Tuesday September 26th 2011. Must prep 1st & 2nd Pass pre-Ponce Maya model for her review.

Research: Found potential Reference: B. von Grumbkow (w/Uhle) 1892 Photographic Documentation Book,
Bancroft Library has a copy  ff F3319.1.t55s8.1892 (  Photography charge of $10/day )

Office Hours: Unfortunately I missed meeting up with Prof. Hastorf at 214 Wurster. Will be rescheduling to Tuesday @ 3pm.

ARF Network: met with Nicholas Tripcevich, PhD ( ARF Laboratory Manager / Archaeologist ). Advised about testing drone in the high elevation White Mountains in California. This area simulates the arid environs of the Altiplano. Also he advised that the battery life of drones were reduced by 50% with the academics he was corresponded with.Those individuals took serveral dozen batteries with them.

Tiahuanaco: A Modern Revision
Course Description
This course will "restore" the Pre-Incan site of Tiahuanaco referencing scholarly research, photography, and existing data from relevant satellite contemporaneous sites' building technologies in the Tiahaunaco Basin. The data will be utilized to "faithfully" create a virtual model using advanced modeling technologies and rendered in a 3D game engine. The restoration will concentrate on the "monumental core" including, the Akapana Pyramid, Kalasasaya, the Semi-Subterranean Temple, Putuni, and the satellite site Puma Punku.

Website Blog: On recommendation of Prof. Tony Dubovsky I will be creating and maintaining this site to track progress on my thesis work. Primarily this blog will be for Anthro 289 and the Reconstruction of Tiahuanaco, however both Penny ( Arch ) and Tony ( Vis. Studies ) will be keeping tabs on it.

Will be defining layout at a later date.
